How to use this tool
Choose the number of flips and generate. Use a fresh batch for each experiment; results are not stored as a running history.
How it works
Each flip independently selects one of two equally likely outcomes. Previous results do not change the next flip. A short run need not contain equal numbers of heads and tails.
Example
Ten flips might produce six heads and four tails. A balanced random process does not require every batch to be evenly split.
Good to know
Use these tools for classroom activities, games, practice data and everyday decisions. Set your rules before generating. Each click makes a fresh draw; a repeated result is possible.
Frequently asked questions
Do several heads make tails more likely next?
No. Flips are independent, so each next outcome still has the same probability.
