How to use this tool
Choose limits between −1,000,000 and 1,000,000, a result count and 0–6 decimal places. Bounds do not need to match the selected precision.
How it works
The interval is converted to an integer grid at your selected precision. We sample the grid uniformly and divide by 10 raised to the decimal-place count. Both bounds are included when representable at that precision. Repeats are allowed.
Example
From 0 to 1 with two decimal places there are 101 eligible values: 0.00, 0.01, …, 1.00.
Good to know
Use these tools for classroom activities, games, practice data and everyday decisions. Set your rules before generating. Each click makes a fresh draw; a repeated result is possible.
Frequently asked questions
Are these continuous real numbers?
No. Results come from a finite grid defined by decimal places. Repeats are possible.
